The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) has partnered with NGA to provide you with the opportunity to support a community garden in your neighborhood or another in need. ACGA will identify communities that are good candidates for programs, mentors, and volunteers, and provide resources to ensure program sustainability.
As a donor, you may designate funds for a specific community garden, community, or organization, or let ACGA choose a community garden in need.
When you make a donation to a community garden through NGA, a representative of the American Community Gardening Association contacts the garden and helps to develop a customized plan for using your donation. This plan may include one or more elements (depending on the size of your gift), such as workshops using ACGA's Growing Communities Curriculum, one-to-one advisors, and conference scholarships. Based on more than 25 years of experience from sustainable community gardening programs throughout the United States and Canada, ACGA's services ensure the ongoing sustainability of the recipient community garden.
For more information about community gardening programs and gardens to adopt, contact Betsy Johnson, ACGA Executive Director, at (877) 275-2242.
ACGA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
