As part of our ongoing commitment to community-centered growth and giving,
NGA has embarked on a bold initiative with the City of South Burlington to
develop a comprehensive garden-based education facility. We are working with
the Vermont community to preserve open space, and create public gardens and
self-guided nature trails on 100 acres of land set aside for conservation.
The site will feature the Center for Plant-Based Education. Ten demonstration
gardens already exist, and additional gardens for exploration and enjoyment
are planned. This site will serve as a campus for national teacher trainings
and hands-on horticultural workshops for people of all ages.
To participate in building this legacy, e-mail Mike Metallo, NGA president, or call him at (802) 863-5251, ext. 123.
